    Hello All 2013 AF M&G 1770 Attendees,

As been appointed by the powers that be as one of the "Cook-Off" orgy– nizeres, or something like that ….

I here by call for Nominations for the "Cook – Off" 2013!!!!!!.

Accepted applicants must have the following attributes:

    1. Good cooking skills is a great start
    2. be able to be self sufficient and well organized
    3. supply all own food and some stuff to eat off (depending on dish)
    4. Liaise with Chong to sort evenings events
    5. Have a beer or seven and accept a glass of “joy” when offered
    6. K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple Stupid) is the key for your dish
    7. Accept nominated uniform for the evening ( must be worn to tavern)
    8. Supply own uniform
    9. Supply own donation tin
    10. Good listening skills, as we all like a chat J

The successful “Cooks” will have plenty of room to sort andcook dishes as we are having the event at the surf club, but early preparationis the key.

I have been in the cook-off many times and have taken thewin only once, the competition will be fierce, so no half hearted crap.

I will not be cooking this year, instead I will offer myskills to all accepted cooks on the night to assist in cooking, plating, talking, drinking, talking, cooking, serving, talking, drinking, drunking, talking, drank some, help some….you get the idea.

This year we are expecting around 100 attendees….holy crap,so your dishes will all need to be based around the following theme: Food, maybe finger food….

The idea is to have a great night, raise some coin for VMRand have a winner on the night that will receive a great big trophy and heapsof cleaning up duties.

To apply for this once a year opportunity please PM yourdetails to Chong, applicants must include proposed dish, amount of portionsproposed to be cooked and a time frame.

We are looking for 4 - 6 nominations, so be quick.

If special requirements are necessary, it’s to hard think ofsomething else.

Would also like to just mention to eveyone that will be there on the night, please arrange your transport around your evenings plans, also when members are talking, presentation, intro's and so on, shut up and let them be heard, thankyou for your understanding.

    Cheers,

    Chong

"I will not be cooking this year, instead I will offer my skills to all accepted cooks on the night ...."

This event would be a ratings sensation if someone could do a TV quality documentary. Just a thought.

There won't be anyone capable of holding a camera still for that to happen.
Remember to always log on before heading offshore.

Fishing can be defined as "A jerk on one end of the rod, waiting for a jerk on the other".
"Fishing was around along time before you darling"

Alright folks the time has come where I need to start compiling the list of vessels attending this year to give to VMR Round Hill.
For folks that will be attending for their first year, the reason for doing this is to minimize the time it takes us to log on each day as the VMR will already have a list of our particulars.
What I'm chasing is the following:-
    Vessel name/ call sign
    Ausfish name
    Real name
Vessel description.....Length, Colour, Material (glass, alloy), Hull design (mono, cat), Superstructure (cuddy cab, half cab, center console,
    tent Netmaker)
    Vessel registration
    Mobile phone number
Secondary mobile phone number and name
    Vehicle details....Make, colour, rego

Please note:- Any vessels fitted with Mercury motors will need to highlight their vessel details in red when sending them to me please. This is to ensure the VMR can make 10 minute check calls with you throughout the day to accurately pin point your location to render immediate assistance.

There was some talk last year that some people wanted a list of each others details to carry on their boats. I can get some laminated cards made up with Call signs, names and phone numbers made up to carry onboard if that's what everyone wants, no probs. Thing is that I will need everyone's details as soon as practicably possible so I have the time to do it unlike last year where I had details coming through the day before the cook off.

Details can be sent to me via PM or emailed to anthonytlee@bigpond.com

If it's easier guys, while you send me these details you can also include your email address, Agnes address where you'll be staying, and crew names and I'll collate them with Phill.

    Thanks guys................
