There is a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot
I wonder how much deeper the ocean would be without sponges

Gets very busy at the agnes tavern bar in the northerlies !
Hey i was talking to a bloke this morning who was up there for 8 or 9 days - got back on Monday. He said that there is a big-arse boat pulling up and boarding people to check EVERYTHING.
He got pulled up 5klm BEHIND Boult reef. Apparently there was police, fisheries, GBRMP personnel, and they they went through the entire boat checking safety gear, rego's fish in the esky, and even asked to see any trip log on his gps and noted that he had travelled through green zones a number of times (not fishing, just travelling to the next spot).
They fined him $200 because his mirror was marginally smaller than the nominated size, or something like that, however it wsa some kind of 'suspended' fine, i.e. He only has to pay it if he gets caught again.
Any of you other blokes up there had any run-ins??
