I wouldnt be buying on the basis they say its great. You need to find out how lng its been on the market for, how many people have tried it, how does it stand up to the elements, how UV stable is it. Remember you have built the rod, not them so you want it to turn out the best it can.

    Absolutely Stu, that's why I'm asking :-)

Doesn't the word "epoxy" mean it has a resin and a hardener
    Ie 2 pack?
my guess it is a single part urethane finish (like flooring varnish) which usually yellows quite severely

Had my first try of the stuff a few days ago. First up I don't like it!. I used it as a trial over a guide wrap that needed replacing. It goes on just like any normal epoxy but seems to begin to set up quicker. You DON'T apply any heat at all and the site suggests blowing on it through a straw to remove any bubbles. I had a few bubbles appear in the first coat that I couldn't get rid of. I rubbed then back a little prior to the second coat which seemed to go on a bit better. The finished product doesn't look any different from a normal epoxy job but I don't know about the longevity and yellowing. The other thing is I would not use this stuff over a wrap I just spent hours on! You need a little time to get the bubbles out and get a nice smooth coat which this stuff just doesn't give you.
