    Keeping the weight down

Built a test rod so I can compare something against for more commercial type fly rod that I will be building soon. Thought I might add a little flare but not too much.
The blank is a Sage Z-Axis 10' #6. Used REC Recoil guides with a Fuji stripper. Also first time building with the ALPs Batson fly reel seat. I love that reel seat, will definitely have to use it again.

Thanks for that. Those snake guides are damn fiddly.

Nice job all round.A little feather inlay would really dress it up and not add any real weight. Just an opinion, it looks great in any case.

Thanks guys. Thanks for the tip Mark. Will definitely go with the feather inlay next time.
I had a little test session in the park. I can get good distance out of it but you really need muscle to operate it past the 20 metre mark. :-)
