SEQ Water wont allow dogs on the their dams, so you need a camping area far enough upstream its not their water, perhaps the bush camp at the back of Leslie dam?
Thinking of getting in a camp weekend in the next month or so and trying to work out which lakes offer camping that allows small dogs - can anyone help?

Cania, Boondooma and BP dams do, and I think the Deer Park at Borumba might also.

Borumba deer park definitely do, and they have a 5 acre off lead area. Is only on the creek, but not far to the dam.... I'm not too sure as to whether you are allowed pets at the actual dam though... I think maybe not.

if i go to Borumba what permits do i need to fish, is it one for each angler and one for the boat?
I have a feeling it's one per family.... but might pay to check

You only need one permit per couple (married or de facto), and if you are under 18 you don't need one at all.
