    Tip: Enough of disposable brushes

Thought I might throw in a tip.
Not only are art brushes better, but using wide flat brushes allow you to apply more epoxy quicker.
I have a collection of synthetic art brushes for finishing. When I'm done, I pour some Acetone in a glass jar (used coffee jar) and soak the brush in the acetone.
You can get the acetone from Bunnings.

I use a empty marinade sauce bottle. just drill a hole in the lid, jam the brush up through it from the bottom so it fits in the bottle. fill with acetone past end of brush. unscrew lid , dry off brush, apply epoxy . easy as

Just a note: Acetone will dissolve paint, laquer and glue.
Don't fill your container above the level of the bristles or the brush handle will turn crap.

    Owen,
Absolutely, agree there, that's why I only pour a little in the jar to remove the epoxy and then wash the rest out in water.

Yep. I have to agree. A 4" brush allows you to epoxy a rod in about 30 seconds. Slap, slap....job's done

    Just kidding
That's all I use. I don't like the disposables at all.
I find the really fine pointy brushes make light work of applying epoxy to those really small fiddly binds you find on guides under size about 10.
I intend on living for-ever....so far so good

They make guides smaller than 10 ?!?!

    Willo ... mate...
    Shampoo and conditioner?
Next you'll be giving them a splash of baby powder.
If its not toxic, it's not clean lol
    Cheers,
