    Aldi 600w inverter for $60

For $60 I thought I was onto a bragain but after spending 10 minutes in an Aldi store yesterday afternoon I am now not so sure I did get such a good bargain. You guys that regualrly shop at Aldi can have the place all to yourselves, you wont see me stepping foot back in there.

He must of went at, or near, opening time.
If he did he was putting his life into the hands of the many crazies with walking frames and walking sticks and gophers who attend the Aldi opening ceremony on 'catalogue' days.
I intend on living for-ever....so far so good

Well to start off there was the bloke of arabic descent yelling at his kids down the back of the shop which in itself isn't too bad but I could hear him clear as day as I walked in the front doors. Then there was the OCD parcel spacer guy who put the spacer behind his few items and insisted that I put my tiny little box on the conveyor belt so he could put a spacer behind that and then he pushed past me so he could put a spacer behind the next guys grocerys before he had even finished unloading them. Whoa
Then I the guy who starts telling me jokes which I don't have a problem with even if they are terrible jokes but when I do finally get out of there and have just jumped in my car here he comes up and knocks on the window and tells me that since I liked his jokes so much (I didn't) that I could have a couple of printed pages of them and that he would catch me next time. Not bloody likely!
Out of all the people I saw in there the most normal of them all was the group of backpackers further up the checkout queue and the coc.

I have since spoken to my old man today who is a regular Aldi shopper and he informs me that he has never come across any crazys when he has been shopping there which leads me to believe that he is one of them and they all appear normal to him. Either that or I am just magnet for the freaks of this world.

Marto, good luck - I have given up buying anything from Aldi's, they used to be cheaper but anything electronic usually failed and trying to returning an item to Aldi's is the biggest pain in the behind because it is the bloke (yes most of the times I seem to get blokes) at the register which means while he is processing my claim all the other shoppers are held up. I was in there one day and a guy who was unloading those builders radio's was commenting to his mate helping him, "The last lot nearly all came back because they didn't work", kind of confirmed my suspicions. Most electrical items are often cheaper at the hardware these days and I notice that they sell the same brands also. My wife shops there for groceries every now and then but I wont go there regardless.

We do our regular grocery shop at Aldi and like it, 25 - 30% cheaper across the whole shopping basket than Woolies or Coles and found the clients pretty much the same at any local supermarket. Lots of Aussie made lines stocked too. Have picked up the odd bit of hardware and electronics and have had no issues, but I don't expect top quality, it's just cheap stuff after all, but some items have been really good. One of the best buys was a mobile tool chest, half the price of anywhere else and it's excellent

    Hope your inverter works well.

Lol. I have never run into the freaks at aldi, but whenever I use public transport I seem to attract them!! Mind you, only been to aldi twice, once to buy a motorcycle gps and once to buy the 12v tellie for my rag boat. I have not used the gps much, but the tellie is friggen great.
