Hi Hinchy, does it take a standard sd card? If so have you checked out ebay?
I also have a Garmin 298s that can only be updated with the correct cable which is no longer available as a part, hence the reason I had to buy a new chartplotter.
Hi
I am looking to find if anyone has a garmin bluechart datacard for Australia or East Coast incl. Tassie.
I believe that Garmin does not support this model [2006C] anymore, however I am hopeful that someone may have one that they want to sell.
If so please PM me or phone 0407 628982.
Regards Hinchy

I had a look on the Garmin website and it says the 2006c is a discontinued model but does it use a different sd card to the newer models? Have you tried using a standard blue chart sd card off a mate?
You could try sending Wayne (Kittykat) a PM as he is the Garmin rep on Ausfish, he may or may not be able to offer you some advice?
Did u get a map card
Hinchy,
you are trying to get the old square style data card for that unit, not an SD card. Wayne (kittykat) may be able to assist you. they are probably starting to get very rare tho.

HOnda.
