Land based Whitting fishing Brisbane Bayside
Hi guys just got back from a sucessful whiting trip around brisbane bayside. Managed 10 nice summer whitting ranging from 24cm to 33 cm using fresh live blood worms for bait, I found they were a little but touchie and had best hook up while slowly winding my alvey to entice them to bite. Gear of choice was my Snyder Glas 10'6 4126 Crusoe Island 5 inch alvey reel loaded with 6lb platypus line and 6lb floro carbon leader 00 sinker and a number 6 red whiting hook
regards matt

All fish were released to fight another day as this trip was to show people that it is possible to still catch a feed of fresh fish close to Brisbane.

Rando the seawall out the front of Eventide is still one of the best land based whiting fishong spots i know of. A good friend of mine fishes this area and managed 1723 whiting in a 12 month peroid as whitiing are all he fishes for.
