    Lowrance hds10 waypoint transfer

I have downloaded the .usr file from the hds10 to an sd card. I have tried a number of gps programmes to read the file but to no avail. Can anyone tell me how to do it or what I'm doing wrong?

you can save them in 4 different formats, maybe try a different format. i will have a look when i get home what programs i have used and what format works.

Hi, search on google for a file type changer. The one you are after is USR to GPX. GPX format can be used on just about any software. Also, check the Lowrnace website, there is a free convertor into USR. It may even do the reverse for you.

You will need a MMC card - not just a SD card.

press pages, then go accross to waypoints routes and trails. scroll down to files and hit enter
scroll down to waypoint, routes, trails and hit enter. then scroll down to gpx and then enter to export. chooses ocation on card and hit enter.

easygps with gpx format works. www.easygps.com
i think you can even use gpx with google earth i believe.
always backup using usr4 though as this also records depth if entered on the mark(not put in at home)
