I put a bigger exhaust on mine and also a dp chip heaps more power.
Cheers Steve
I put a 3 inch exhaust on my 3 litre Patrol and that made a big difference to a better fuel consumption and also a little more power.
Cheers, Doug.
Love to use Preditek or Kingfisher lures or Viva Lures when I am out fishing.
Beudesert exhausts always seem to get good reports, they do proper mandrel bend systems.
I got a 3inch exhaust and steinbauer chip.. Made a big difference in power but none in fuel economy.. Beaudesert was a bit exy. Go to a local shop and get them to bend and fit one from turbo back. Mine only cost $900 about 50% less than big names for supply only. Also I was going to get stainless steel but after talking to a few other guys just went the steel exhaust.. Really you only notice the more power when towing up inclines..
I noticed a big difference in power with mine as soon as I got the exhaust put on. I didnt chip it either.
I was told that you need to get the exhaust done so that it is still 3 inches at all the bends and right from the turbo to the end... right through. Got mine through a company called Scorpion. There in Brisbane. All up it cost me a little over a $1,000.00 fixed.
I am very happy with the improvement it made to my patrol, so I didnt brother chipping it up.
Cheers, Doug.

do mandrel bent exhaust and air filter at the same time(k&n) most mandrel exhausts are ordered pre made these days. This will help engine breath and hit boost quicker.I would recommend Moss St Right Pice Exhaust see Jamie.

At the end of the day it's a diesel not a v8. Don't get me wrong I could feel a small difference but I noticed the difference when pulling the boat holding revs better, if I want to go fast I have a worked ss that does me fine.. Also be careful if doing water crossings as the k&n air filter let's water in straight into the engine.
Yeah I do realise its not a V8 we are talking about, but in my case i can honestly say i gained 10% to 15% more power and the same in fuel economy. I am not trying to be a smartarse or anything... just telling it how it is from my side and giving my opinion.
Hmmm I am not sure what you mean by the k&n air filter. I have added a snorkel on my patrol.
Cheers, Doug.

Thanks guys i will go the 3 inch from turbo back. Ive got a K&n filter already.
I have a k&n filter and have just gone around oz through lots of creeks and rivers, whether its paper or K&N it will let water through, K&N will breathe better which will help with your requirements. Just quietly if your after performance I would go a GTS not an ss![]()

I've had the car for 4years since I was 20 and it still eats current model 6.2L malloos and gts sedans. Only problem is I wish it had malloos brakes, she is f*cked to pull up.. I can't sell it cause it was my 1st proper car. I'm only going off wat I saw on the hilux forum with a few of the guys saying water gets inside the engine by the k&n filters.. Goodoo I know ur not being smart! It's a forum mate and everyone has a opinion. Sometimes it's by experience like yours and seaweeds case or 2nd hand info like mine.. Hey I might even get a k&n filter now.. Cheers!
Hooknpull I was pulling your chain..my brother in law has a very fast vx ss and I am about to get into a supercharged gts. I have grown up with fats cars since I was young from VL Turbos to GTS Monaros, I would still have my first car if someone didnt steel it and smash it into a power pole! We have always run aftermarket exhaust and filters as very first mod as most factory set ups are too restrictive. You will get a better result whether it is measurable or not is the next question when driving it. In Warriors case I would go the following mods if I wanted better performance:
-Mandrel bent exhaust from back of turbo through
-Snorkel with k&N or similar filter
-D tronic or similar chip
With these mods you should get 20%+ increase in power and torque and your car should come onto boost faster.
Cheers

All good brother. Them Walkinshaw kits haul ass.. The power they get from them is massive. I haven't seen one on the road down here thoI agree with u with them parts. Also don't go putting 33inch muddies on it. The bigger the tyre the boggier it gets.. I'm running 31's on mine and that made a big difference from the standard 29's..
x force are making a prefab 3 inch steel kit now have seen on ebay for 650 delivered.
