Help me decide hb 898 or hds 7

Well it's for my pro angler kayak and I'm not sure what I want both arround $2000. Will be using structure scan/side scan.

What are the internal maps like?

I fish creeks and my local river

I'm in the same situation but i decide to go for the humminbird due to the fact you only need to mount one transducer instead of two with the lowrance.
Also i the 2D sounder is clearer on the humminbird.

I would go HDS personally as I did crisper cleaner picture structure scan works to much greater depth and I would have said 2d sounder had better picture on lowrance

Have a look at the Simrad NSS7, run same structure scan as HDS and special at CH Smith at present $1500. A much nicer interface and menu than HDS7.
