Can you sell an EPIRB?

Hi

I have a GME EPIRB that is nearly 3 years old. It has a 6 year battery life.

As you have to, it is registered with the proper authorities etc.

I have just purchased an EPIRB with GPS as I fish offshore all the time.

What do I have to do if I want to sell the EPIRB? In terms of de-registering it with the authorities etc??

If anyone wants an EPIRB cheap, please drop me a PM. I will list it in the classfieds once I know what I have to do etc.

There's a Beacon Disposal form you complete (i just did one on the weekend when I sold my tinnie). Then the new owner completes a new registration form. Alternatively when registering an EPIRB online it makes you enter who/where you bought it from so I'm nearly assuming you can just skip the first step and just tell the new owner to enter your name here.
