Was out with 5 on the boat and the weather was crap. The guys were getting really bitchy by the arvo. The wind lulled so we made a dash for a quick fish while sharing the last 2 beers between the 5 of us. Found a 150 lt fibreglass esky with 14 Melbourne's and 2 bags of ice in it. We did the right thing and searched around for capsized boat but found no other flotsam or any sign of a capsized boat. We then found a new jewie spot and filled the found esky and my 100lt in a couple of hours. 15 yrs latter and I still have the esky and have never heard of anyone losing and esky full of beer.
Some times the fishing gods are just smiling at you.

Reel was a Symetre and it still worked!!!

I had old timers tell about collecting line for lead and hooks only to be hooked up on trophy fish. Karma I say
