Seafarer 5.0 Viva - Price Guide

Not sure if this is the right place to post but I'm considering selling my 1997 Seafarer Viva and was wanting to get a rough idea of what it's worth.

I've compared it to a lot of the ones for sale around the place and my issue is that mine seems to be in far better condition (gelcoat, interior etc) and has significantly less hours (around 150 total for boat, and motor). It's also carrying the slightly less traditional 90HP V4 Evinrude (OMC) US build.

Accessories/options include, Drive on Trailer, Stainless Underfloor tank, New Lowrance 5200C and Garmin 400, full safety gear etc.

I'm selling and downgrading due to lack of time to fish deep/offshore and wanting to concentrate more on dam/estuary fishing.

I apologise if this isn't in the right spot and any help would be greatly appreciated.

This Seafarer is a very well presented boat and would suit the most fastidious buyer. Powered by a 90hp Evinrude with s/s prop it will get you to your secret spot with economy and reliability. The package includes GME 27meg, Lowrance sounder / fishfinder, nav lights and compass. It also has a bimini, rod holders, walk through screen and a full boat cover. Resting on a Tinka gal trailer with spare.

Thank-you for that, mine's probably in similar condition just a few years older. Reinforces my thoughts of around that 20k mark.

No offence mate, but I reckon you'd struggle to get $20k for it. Everyone wants new tech motors these days. I had an 03 Venus with a FICHT 90 (also in very good nick) and got $24k for it 3 years ago.
My guesstimate for yours would be $16-18k roughly.
    Good luck with it.

Oh Cheers, Fishhard, might be a little bit more realistic.

I was looking for one a while back but got something else. For yours you should get around 16 k fairly quickly and anything over that would be a bonus. I would start around 19k if you're not in a hurry and see what the market thinks.

Very nice vessel; should be worth $20K but as stated, in this market you may struggle. Hold out if you can but personally I'd be looking to knock off a couple of K for a bigger, quality sounder if I was buying. Agree with FisHard's comment re 'new tech motor, but I like the 2 Strokes myself and reckon some others do too.
    Good luck.

Thanks Nigelr, I'm in no rush as I have a 3.6m bluefin tinny that I can refine my creek/dam skills on until it sells. I really don't want to go less than 18k at the moment as I think that's fair.
