Lowrance HDS-2 Update

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone else is having trouble with the latest HDS-2 update. I have downloaded the update to an SD card; however my sounder does not seem to be reading the update.

With previous updates that I have downloaded there was an option to "run" the update which then allowed you to use the updater to choose the location to save the update to. This latest update only gives me to option to save the update diretly to a location and does not appear to "unzip" the file.

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Cam,

Does the file have an extention on it after downloading to your pc, eg filename.exe or none like just filename. ?

I would try and add the extention .zip and try right clicking and extract to the drive name of your card for example e: .

Sounds like the file is a compressed file type but is required to be uncompressed in order for the lowrance to read the file.
