Which bar is easier Caloundra or Mooloolaba?
Can anyone tell me which bar crossing would you consider the easier of the 2? Why?

One faces SE the other NE so they are both dependent on the weather set at the time.
Mooloolaba is a managed entrance, Caloundra is not.
Have you had a reasonable amount of experiece with crossing bars?
I suggest you look closely at the weather prior to tackling either, both see their share of accidents.
Mooloolaba is generally easier again weather dependant.

Mooloolaba is a sheltered groin bar; Caloundra is a bloody dangerous open ocean entry with no protection at all, not recommended!

Thanks guys for your replies, we went out of mooloolaba yesterday and it was so flat and easy i am not sure it could been be called a bar crossing. i was thinking the trip back in might be more of challenge cause it was gonna be low tide but when got back to the entrance there was a fella there who was showing his 10 yo boy how to drive the tinnie over the bar and following him in made it feel like child's play.
