Its actually now called CUNNINGHAM marine,

Not much of a change but a much smaller shop, I hope for their sake and the peninsula's sake they get it right this time and stay there.

Or that. I heard about it a few months back, so I dont recall the exact details other than it was a relative.

Bruce's brother Ian has started it up I was down talking to him about 2 weeks ago he is selling as far as boats go Stejcraft,Trailcraft and bluefin boats. Good to see him giving it a go anyway and good to see a dealer back on the peninsula.

It looks like a new business mate so I doubt it. The fact it sounds like the old business name is for other obvious reasons.

Yes, it is nice to have a boat yard on the peninsula. Just don't understand how one company closes its doors and reopens under same name. Maybe that's just the way it is these days.

Interesting, in that when you Google Cunningham's Marine & then click on their domain name, it takes you straight to Brisbane Yamaha's website. BY must've pounced on that domain name as soon as it became available... bit cheeky!

yes, very interesting seahorse. my mostly ignorant take on things is that the only reason that a business gets put into the hands of the receivers is when they can't afford to pay their bills/creditors, and i feel for those poor creditors who end up being owed money by any business going belly up.

the fact that a "brother" can suddenly (and quite legally) drop a letter off the original business name and set up shop again a few doors down just doesn't sit right with me. i mean, i hope he had nothing to do with the original business, but if he did, it's a pretty big slap in the face for the creditors of the original business that probably walked away with nothing.

Have to agree with PADDLES on this one also! GO BROKE! CLOSE DOORS! CAN"T AFFORD TO PAY CREDITORS! RE-OPEN NEW BUSINESS A FEW HUNDRED METRES DOWN THE ROAD....Hmmmmm!!....More LOOPHOLES!!
