LB fishing on the Goldie pre sunrise this morning.
Headed down to the coast for a pre dawn pre work fish this morning. Alarm went off at 2am and I was pulling into the Seaworld car park approx 3am.
With the lack of success on my popper the last time I was down that way I rigged up a paddle tail in the nuclear chicken and headed for the beach. Over an hour later I hadn't even felt a nibble and after getting too close and loosing another jig to a snag I decided to head down to the end of the spit for sunrise to see if I could break my impending third consecutive GC donut.
I was at the spit fishing just opposite the boat ramp between the moored boats and luckily managed to pull in a undersize flathead on the nuclear chicken shrimp. Phew.
Decided to head to the rocks in the seaway for the last few casts, chucked on a 5" jerk shad in watermelon (pretty impressed with the way it swims) and fished uneventfully for another 20 mins while watching the sunrise then headed off to work.
Another uneventful GC fishing trip but it felt good to be out and about anyway.

Good onya for getting out. It's not all about catching mountains of fish. A great sunrise and some time for reflection is time well spent in my book. thanks for sharing

I think you deserved a few fish for that effort. It can be tough catching fish land based.

Been getting a few tips so thanks for that. just hoping each trip gets better and better. Going for my boat license in a few Saturdays time and hopefully Ill be able to get out and about a bit more in the Pin and around Pimpama. Next land based session i think Ill go back to bait and fish Budds Beach at night with a full moon with worms and try my luck finding some good whiting.
