That is one big Bream well done.
Have posted a pic on another thread of a 45cm bream I caught on Friday night. Thought I would post it up on a thread of its own!
Fished Friday arvo late off Redcliffe, armed with a few Pike and a bag of of fresh tailor trimming belly flaps.
As the tide started to run up before dark the fish came on and I ended up with a 37cm Bream, then a 29cm bream, followed by two 42cm snapper.
All went quiet for a while then the rod went off again and this enormous bream finally came to the net. I know the pic isnt on a mat, but I measured it dead set at 45cm when at home.
The other rod had a funny bite on it so I picked it up from the holder, and it took off...and eventually my first Jewie hit the deck, thankfully a fraction over 75cm, didnt ebven know the legal size at that point!
So a brilliant hour of fishing, and not another boat in sight, perfect moon phase, perfect weather and big run up tide,,,where was everyone?
Cheers

That's a ball tearer, mate. Huge. I've seen some massive girls getting around the reefs out there whilst diving, but none that big. Well done.

My mate and I fish Scarborough marina area pretty heavily (minimum once a week, generally twice) and have been getting some great catches of Bream lately. We actually have been getting on to some weird unidentified fish at the canal entrance. They are missile like in shape, very very fat for their size with a medium sized mouth, very thick big lips, leathery skin (no unusual colour discoloration, not a leatherjacket) and some solid chompers. If anyone has any idea what they are would be great to know. I have gone through every fish identification guide I can and haven't found anything, except maybe a small toothed jobfish.
Anyway here is some bream we caught on the weekend. Smaller one is 28 and the bigger one is 34-35 (sorry for no ruler).
Great stuff flatzie , that breambo looks massive!! Ben
