    beach erosion

How are the southern beaches of the gold coast fairing, I know Nobby has been badly eroded ,,, what about the Kirra Rainbow Greenmount stretch.
There used to be some patches of reef off Kirra way back,,, but i think the pumped sand covered them.
If some of that sand down there got moved around a bit it might be a good thing for fishing!!!!

I'm sure the last thing on the minds of the property holders on the foreshore would be better fishing. Still ... entirely predictable.. the big pond taking back what it put there. Why would you build there?

    Re: beach erosion

I remember a few locals telling me there used to be some nice reefy patches off kirra, but the sand pumped out covered them long ago. Thats what also killed Kirras iconic break. The council was trying something there on the beaches last year, moving sand around and whatnot (maybe part of that whole 'bring back kirra' push) but as long as the sand still keeps getting pumped out....
If you remember what the beach there used to look like compared to now...
fingal and kingscliff cop the erosion worse I think
