Hi All,
Just a quick report to share, headed out for a solo trip yesterday, through south passage incoming tide so no issues there.
Headed out around the 29's area hit a bit of old ground and got straight on to a Maori cod and the bite pretty much kept on all day.
Searched around got some new ground and came home with a good mixed bag.
All up in the box:-
- 3 snapper
- 2 Maori cod
- 1 Parrot
- 1 Gold spot wrasse
- 1 Pearly
I released 2 undersized and 3 other Snapper between 40cm and 50cm in hope for a bigger one that didn't happen before i called it quits. Lost a few good fish due to, too many rods not enough hands, ha ha!
The swell kicked up a bit throughout the day so it made coming back through the bar at low water pretty interesting, I would've liked to wait for the turn of the tide with that much swell but was kind of on the clock
So no trophies caught but happy with the feed.
Cheers,
Leon.
