Raymarine A50D - How to Display Total Fuel?
Gday
Recently purchased a Raymarine A50D combo unit and have installed this into the boat along with a new NMEA 2000 backbone kit with all required adaptors etc.
Overall very happy with the unit for the price paid and stoked that it can display a wide array of data over the customisable pages, however.....................
How the fek do i get it to display total fuel used? It clearly has an option on the screen to display it and tells me the fuel usage per hour but for the life of me i cannot find a menu option if there is one to enable it!
Ive searched the Raymarine website as well as the web but havnt been able to find to much useful info. An email has also been sent to Raymarine technical asking for advice but im yet to recieve a response.
Engine is a 2007 ETEC 75HP.
Any advice appreciated
Cheers
Mick

Re: Raymarine A50D - How to Display Total Fuel?
Thanks for the response Chris
I hope i dont need a seperate sensor as the fuel usage (litres per hour) is displayed without a problem as the Etec EMM sends this data to the unit. Ive had no luck in locating how to enable or enter starting fuel amount as yet.
Raymarine technical called me back today and he wasnt sure how to do it either and seemed somewhat surprised it wasnt displayed. I mentioned to him that i didnt have a fuel gauge unit hooked into the tank and he said this 'may' be the issue. They are going to investigate further and get back to me.
I hope it doesnt just use the fuel level sender to calculate this as that would be a little vague at best.
As far as the pricing for NMEA parts goes i didnt find to much difference around the traps and ended up getting mine mostly through Wynnum Marine and one part from Whitworths. I have a brand new unopened Seatalkng to NMEA 2000 adaptor cable if you need it as i had one ordered from the states but got impatient and sourced one locally.
All up it cost me around the 240 mark i think.
If you have an etec the brp website has an online flash programme that enables you to design your NMEA setup and even prints out the part list for you

Hi there mick on the manual try finding the page132 and have a look to see weither the liters is set in memu options and have a fuel gauge sender in your tank should not be the thing as thats not connected to the motor, cheers chris.
