Also downloaded Pocket weather and Hooked on Fishing mate.
Guess I will use all of them one way or another.

I've had problems with shralp tides in some off beat locations, for example last year at Fraser Waddy point tide predictions were not very accurate at all and when compared to BOM oceanography services found them to be about 2 hours out. The main ports etc such as Brisbane bar were fine but other locations not so accurate.
I phone apps in relation to fishing are:
AU tides pro (I think only $0.99 for the pro version...)
Moon Calendar
Wind Finder
Motion X GPS
Launch PRO. (launch site information that you can add to yourself, sort of like a wiki of boat ramps)
Fishabout - this gives me current wind, barometric pressure, moon phase, next tide change time and a 'fishability' index based on solunar info all based on my current location as determined by GPS.
Have heard very good things about Navionics also for $25 or so you get charts that you pay hundreds for with GPS.
Navionics is great.... I use it to dream while traveling on train to work.
Also of course it's nice to know the speed the train is going...
