Thumbs up Breakthrough- Bream on Soft Plastics

I finally managed to get out on the water and go fishing last weekend with my dad. After watching a fishing show where this guy was casting up against pontoons and boats and catching bream i thought i would give it a crack. So my Dad and i headed for the canals of the Gold Coast, after about 2 hours and only one bite/bust off we were getting frustrated. However, 30 mins before we were about to leave i cast my soft plastic in between a boat and a pontoon and let it sink, after about 10 secs without interest i slowly started to wind it back, and then as i was reeling it back i saw two bream following the lure, so i paused and then BAMM, one of the bream takes the lure halfway between the pontoon and the boat and after a short fight a 27cm bream was the result. I was so glad that i actually caught one on a sp.
Attached is a pic of the bream.PHOT0180.jpg
P.S I tried to do the rod in the mouth thing but it didn't turn out to great
    Thanks

Isn't it a great feeling when you go to try a specific technique and have your first success (ie bream on SP not "the rod in the mouth thing" lol, though it looks like you nailed both!).

We only recently started having success specifically targeting bream on pontoons, bluddy great fun, keep up the good work.

Bream often hit the plastic once it drops and sits still for a second, they also often hit it after it has been sitting and starts to move.

    Nice one.
