    lenco trim tabs anodes

hi all..... i am about to instal a set of 9x9 lenco tabs to my seafarer victory and am wanting to know if others have the anodes on there tab or not. the boat is fibreglass and not kept in the water for any longer than a weekend so thinking the anode is not necessary for electrolysis reasons. the tab anode comes with the kit but no pre drilled hole in tab (an easy fix). has any one had corrosion problems on there trim tabs with or without the anode or how often have you replaced your anode
    cheers in advance

    Hi Mick

I have 9 x 9 Lencos on my Vagabond too and no anodes and no corrosion issues but the boat does not live in the water and only gets wet when its in use.

    Cheers

PS Prepare to enjoy a good boat even more.

When I bought my fibreglass boat it had antifouling paint on the bottom of it and also on the stern drive leg, so obviously it had spent a lot of time in the water, I replaced the trim tabs as they had quite a few holes chewed through them due to electrolysis.

If you only keep the boat in the water over weekends, it don't think that it would be much of a problem.
