Give the person who is selling it a call they may know. Being the age it is there may not be too many specs on it If you get into contact with the manufactuer they may be able to help also.

One of the key areas of difference between glass and ally is the deck space. To my untrained eye it appears that there is a bigger emphasis on cabin space in glass boats and a bigger one on deck space on ally boats. Is this close to the mark or way off? Maybe it is just because the older glass one's tended to taper to the stern and this reduced the usable area.
I don't really know except that a 6m like mine is licensed to carry 6 and I don't used the glass seats supplied by Yalta. I found a big esky with nearly the same dimensions across the back and put cushions on that instead. If I put both seats and esky in at the same time I would consider this to be cluttered deck space. Depends on the purpose of the trip with 5 POB but having a big esky on board is a must with a blue water boat IMO

I can also sleep in my cabin fully stretched out which i could not find easily as i am too tall for most of them in this size range. One comment I did have on a couple of ally equivalents is obvious danger points at either the cabin entry or seat boxes where I would easily bump my head or bruise my thigh. I am like a drunkard trying to balance in offshore seas and I look for anything in the design that might be easy to bump into.

Fisho8 is all over it. Plenty of good options there. If you could get the bloke with the Signature 580 down to $40K that would be a good score. The centre cab with the Honda appeals to me as it has all the toys, ie. good motor, trim tabs etc. I'd prefer all the modern transoms and covering boards than the old school hulls like that 630SLE sort of Signature etc. A few more $$$s and you are into stuff like Finding Time's 5.2 Kevlacat on an alloy trailer so well under 2T. I could also hook you up with a bloke who is selling a Mustang/Tournament 19'er with all the fruit for your budget. Dunbier dual axle trailer, 2xLowrances and a 620 Furuno, outriggers and heaps of rod holders etc., 140 Johnson 4 stroke which are the rebadged Suzukis. It lives here on the Sunshine Coast.

Hey Smithy, is that the one at Pelican? How does the 135 push her along? Is it good on the juice?

Think he has gotten sick of advertising on Boatpoint or Boatsales and if it sells it sells and it doesn't it doesn't. He is resigned to the fact of keeping it maybe and he is not going to give it away.

Thanks for those. Same question though with fuel use? These have a 225lt tank? The 140hp, is it enough on a 6m boat? I am mostly going out of 1770 so am concerned about range.

i wouldnt be too worried about the range with a suzi/johnson 140. im usually able to get 2-2.2 kms per litre running at 4500 - 5000rpm out of mine on a 5.5m haines usually fishing with 3 POB and a 160l fuel tank.

Re: Anyone up for a challenge.

The 140 Johnson on my Stabi used 19-21 litres an hour mostly I seem to remember. I think the Mustang goes better than it with the more slippery fibreglass hull. He has beaten me in plenty of times. The 140 did it but my 150 did it better but with a 30kg weight penalty and using more like 24 litres an hour. Plenty of times I went offshore with 4 customers and me and one time, 5 and me. Also big trips to the top of Fraser/Towsnville or Wide Bay Bar with an extra 60-80litres of jerry cans, swags etc. aboard on top of the 200 litres under the floor I used to carry. He has marlin fished in that Mustang plenty of times at the top of the Hards 36-39Nm out then trolling at 7-9litres an hour for 10 hours and never had a fuel issue. The main line of reef up there is 35-36Nm out so I am sure it will be fine. A couple of jerrys aboard to be sure and away you go. It must ride pretty good as he has beaten plenty of boats home or kept up. It has tabs on it and a custom seatbox/esky setup.
