Thanks for the report and pics Anthony and fantastic stuff to Brett and Tim as well.
When a Trip comes together like that with the weather and fish wanting to play the game it really makes it worth while.

    Awesome stuff guys.
Love it in the lagoon at night compared to being 75km offshore in the wind.
    Top conditions and fish fellas.

Getting sharked is bad enough but when the damn thing is hiding under the boat and it happens in front of your eyes after a long wind up and you see the shark swim off with a mouth full of cod it's like adding insult to injury........I'm only guessing going from the post incident language.

Very jealous, now I'm off to work.

Top work Anthony and lads. Nothing like a quickie, but I usually don't involve my mates in mine. I guess what goes on in the boat stays in the boat, but not just for me.

A big thanks goes out to Anthony and Tim for the quick adventure. Was good to sit back and have a few beers and enjoy the trip... actually I drank beer the trip up, the trip out to the reef and the trip home....... got to love being the deckie !!

Fishing was tops with good fish coming from most drifts, You know your in a top fishing area when you never make it to the marks you want to try, all because your finding shows on the sounder you just have to drop a bait to, some were 5m+ thick of stacked fish... We lost some really good fish to the grey tax man and to drags that don't need to be touched, zzzzzzzzzzzzzz snap, but you can expect that with 15Lb line with a big Red on the other end !!

Live bait was no where to be found on the bait grounds, hope they turn up in September for the M&G.. Phill you have a secret bait area to try don't you.. (hint hint)
There were also heaps of Whales out there and they kept us entertained and made us keep a good watch while moving around..

So Anthony whens the next trip ???

    Cheers
    Brett

There is a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot

I wonder how much deeper the ocean would be without sponges

Up here we Use Hussar as baits for real RED FISHS (SHSIIFDER)

Fishing can be defined as "A jerk on one end of the rod, waiting for a jerk on the other".
"Fishing was around along time before you darling"

Looks like you did it tough Muddy

Great conditions, fish on the bite, a few buddies thrown in to balance out the good stuff and it doesn't get much better.

    Thanks for the report.
    Cheers
