Which cheap winch would you recomend?
    What winch are you running?
    Do you use it often?

Im tossing up between the Tiger11 Grande 10,000LB ($699) or 12,000LB ($750) OR the
    Runva 9500Lb (QPack - $850) or 12000LB($850)???

I look forward to hearing any feed back.

    Tight lines

You'll get what you pay for, in winches.

    I haven't had a T-Max let me down.

Yep. Have to agree with Phill.
A cheap winch is one that doesn't fail when you need it to work....no matter how much cash was used to purchase it.
Which one that is I don't know. Well I do know and that's the mechanical winch on the front of the Landrover.
That sucker would pull the moon out of orbit if the cable was long enough. Or the broom stick out of a redheads bum......which-ever you deem the most stuck thing.

But I have heard good reviews about the Tigerz
I intend on living for-ever....so far so good

The Tigerz11 are cheap chinese winch's. But they have lastest the abuse and test of time. I would recommend them. I can get them for $650 12000lb with plasma rope delivered. But hopefully with a few orders. Pm if interested.

Might be worth a look, pretty good deal.

We bough the tigerz11 12000lb winch when they first dropped the price a few months back. Finally getting around to fitting it this weekend, so can't give you any feed back yet But plan to test out the newly fitted locker and winch before we head to the cape in 6 weeks

Aldi. I bought one to see how it'd go and it's simply amazed me.
Look close enough at all the chinese stuff and it all looks pretty similar, so why pay more for the same thing.

If buying a chinese lowmount winch with spectra rope, be extremely cautious of powering the winch out. Always freespool out, and do not winch you car down anything much. Spectra turns to liquid at 140-150 degrees. It was never designed to be wrapped around what is essentially a drum brake, and the 'protective cover' only pays lip service to protecting it. It is great stuff, but it has limits that you don't want to find in a recovery situation.

Yeah waterbouy i to have say that ive heard nothing but good about the tigerz11 winch they are the best of the cheaper winches, they can handle abuse and not being maintained as much as they should, they came out on top on a winch comparo for there class (cheaper) i just bought one on ebay for $580 with dyneema rope 12000lb grande, plus $60 to my door (southside brisbane) so yeah $640 to my door with rope and fairlead, wasent a bad deal i thought. Good luck theres plenty to choose from.

Emg ala 4wd action has recently disclosed they now have a financial interest in the tigers11 brand.
Now that it's out in the open they are peddling some deals on the website which look fairly cheap. Might be worth a look.?
