Guides for heavy popper spin rod

    Hello all,
Thoughts on using MNSG or K series guides (not titanium...too$$$$$ for me!) for a 37kg popper rod built on a Calstar 700XH. Most likely used with a 18000/20000 sized reel.

I dont think the k's are strong enough for a 37kg popping rod i would go the mnsg's.

Thanks guys, this makes 2:1 for mnsg vs k series. I have never used the k series and have heard great things but just wasnt sure of their strength...when you see the pics of the heavy pop rods you tend to seethe older MN style guides. I would llove to use them on a lighter rod...would you say 24kg max?
    Cheers, Mike

The k's will survive on a 24kg but will not on a 37kg.Japanese only use k's on the lighter popping rods for a reason.

I test every thing to destruction before I begin using it on of my rods. I need to know where and at what point this stuff breaks at, including my wife. If your not sure then always test what your going to use before hand. Crank the drag up to at least 15-20% more than you would normally run, that should give you a good magin of error.
