    My long shank O'Shannessey style hooks in 7/0 and 9/0 will fit straight onto the eyelet in the ball sinker. Just slide the hook on the eyelet before you pour the lead into the mould.

    with an 8oz ball for deep fishing i don't think a bit of extra weight will make any difference
