Not that I have been looking at boatsales at all, let alone the prices of ~4yr old 233's, but I would have thought the asking price would have been a lot more than 100k???

Ask if you can fly up for an inspection - my monies on no.
Might be legit. There is a big downturn in the offshore oil industry (my work) and mining isnt doing that well either at the moment so a few toys will be on the market. Im looking at buying something up around that price but not until next year now.
It definitely could be Shaun but have seen the same scam with an F-Truck out of Darwin. One of the lads off the boat on our last project was in negotiation with some clown. What he didn't realise was that his missus is a long term flight attendant so he can fly for next to nix. When he told the bloke yep all is good, I will fly up tomorrow and check it out before I place a deposit, all went quiet - never to be heard from again. Buyer beware.
