    Haines 800 Patriot

    G'day Guys,

Both my Sharkcat projects have been finished and sold, so it is time for my next project.
Introducing "Insanity" our Haines Hunter 800 Patriot.
This will be our project boat and display boat for all the products we use and recommend.
    She is:
    8.23m long
    2.5m wide
    Weighs 3.5 tonne.
Powered by twin 200 Evinrude Etecs
    Has 500 litres of fuel
    Sleeps four people.

It will be set up as a long range sport fishing boat, capable of spending two to three days on the shelf targeting Blue & Black Marlin, Deep Dropping for Blue Eye Trevalla and night fishing the shelf (and beyond) for Broadbill Swordfish.

    Cheers

    Pete

Very nice Pete, how old is the hull, how big is the cabin and roughly what did it cost.

The weapon has been introduced....So have you sold the house and moved into the transom????
I have been on this thing and it flies......literally......... From Sandgate to Tangalooma in about 3 minutes and touched the water about 6 times......
"two to three days on the shelf"??? Dont tell me you're having days off work?????
Looking forward to see this thing pimped up.....just a couple of questions though......."Does this thing only have one hull??? Or I am seeing things??? Were you blind when you bought it and saw double? Or did you just see two engines on the back and though it was a cat????
Looking forward to fishing side by side to it sometime soon.....on your marks of course.....Tom Cat doesnt catch fish!

    G'day Bruce,

The hull is 1997, the cabin sleeps four with the reverse double bed under the helm and the price was mid 60's

    Cheers

Staying with the soft top, mainly for weight reasons.

Hmmm... trust you to pick on the point of greatest embarassment... no it doesn't have twin hulls
An 8m mono was the closest thing I could get to a 4m cat
