Yamaha f115 error code

Hi everyone,
Long-time lurker, first time poster.
My '06 yamaha 115 four stroke is throwing up an error code which I've worked out after a day's googling is as below:

"error code 13: Incorrect pick-up coil input signal"

Does anyone know what or where is the pick-up coil on a yammie f115?
I have looked through all 400-odd pages of the service manual and could not find any reference about a pick-up coil anywhere.

pickup coil is a fewunder the fly wheel. out of intrest how did you extract the code?

Pretty sure it goes on the amount of times the check engine warning flashes! Pretty hard to figure out though. Much easier for someone to hook it up to a puter.

yes, the codes can be worked out by the amount of times the check engine light flashes, in this case flash, pause, flash, flash, flash indicating error code 13.
