Adams Marine Plate Alloy Boats 5.5 metre

    Hello all
After hearing and reading all the nightmare stories regarding boat builders and boat dealers we were very apprehensive when we decided to move up in the world and buy a plate boat.
It wasn't too hard to decide who we wouldn't go with from the start, but then the hard parts, what price, what features, which salesman. We eventually decided to deal with a small volume builder that we felt comfortable with. There were a few that we didn't feel comfortable with (one of those has just gone bust).
The Builder we eventually decided on was Adams Marine, Hervey Bay. We found them purely by accident as they don't seem to spend all their money telling people how good they are.
Adam and Neil made us feel comfortable through the entire process with any modifications and changes keenly accepted and diligently taken care of. I think we must have been a bit of a pain with our requirements, but they just took it on the chin.
The boat was expected to take 6 weeks to construct and fit our motor, but came in under time at 5 weeks.
I can only say how impressed we are with Adams Marine and would recommend them to any one (jeez I think I should be on commission,,,)

I will upload some pics of the boat as soon as possible

Great to hear bribiegreen. I was interested in one of their trailers not so long ago and asked (on here) if anyone knew anything about them; no-one replied.
Bit of a long drive for me to check them out so I eventually went for something else but they did look solid and were well priced, as did the boats.
Will look forward to your review and pics, congrats on the new boat!

Sorry to bring back an old thread Bribie green but do you still have the boat? Are you still happy with it? How do you find it rides in the hard chop? I am seriously considering buying on of these shortly.
    Cheers
    Nick
