This could be a very worrying development.
It seems like all the hard work we do to ensure bag limits are not exceeded and stocks are there
for our future,along with all the restrictions that are put in place for rec fisherman.

well blow me down... more & more areas are being closed to fishing supposedly to to increase fish stocks preserve habitat ect .then they look like allowing a serial ocean rapist like the fv margiris to fish our waters in what most sane people would call a super unsustainable method of catching fish sorry but i just dont get it
The main problem is quite simple, way too many people to feed.
When will we start talking about population control?
What is needed is a worldwide one child policy.
No doubt that would upset the selfish who want more than one, but that is what we need to do.
Otherwise we'll end up with no fish as demand will eventually out strip supply.
Look around the world, fish stocks are very very low compared to two generations ago . .

This is so very very true and right on the money IMO..... What will happen otherwise is another BIG BOMB will be dropped(Mans way of survival) and/or a huge disease will wipe out millions to compensate (natures way of human survival)
Nothing like a good war to thin out the population!!!!!!....Perhaps birth control should be the first step.

Totally agree with you mate, BUT you and I both know it isn't going to happen. I am gobsmacked about letting these foreign ships in to rape our waters. Absolute insanity.
Makes you lose faith in the whole system. No wonder the French still celebrate Bastille Day. Keeps the ruling pricks on their toes.
As far as i am concerned its all about money.
