I remember pulling 35-40cm whiting out of curras lake aswell as anywhere up to 40-45cm jacks as a kid with my old man very seldom get a good size fish out of there these days well done mate.

Good to see that you are covering some territory Funchy.
Currimundi would be pretty susceptible to the fresh if it has been raining a bit up there wouldn't it? (We hope that the Lake can fish OK, because that is where we will be living in the not too distant future
Sounds like you found a nice little spot in the weeds, be interesting to see how it goes next spawning season for some bigger ones...

good report funchy,i have been catching plagues of 30-40cm flatty in my local also.yes,sure is a good sign of things to come.

Great to see your local waterway so healthy, I had a similar encounter with flathead where they were on the chew like winter whiting every throw came up with a small flathead. I was amazed as I've never seen so many lizards in the one spot, as softplastidude79 says they must have been in plagues. Cheers mate
