Hi All
I have a twin hull Markham dominator with the transducer on the passenger side hull and lose reading at speeds regularly. The sounder is a furuno 525 . Is going to a "in hull" transducer the way to go on twin hulls - any help will be appreciated

Have a dominator aswell. Having the same proble with it on the starboard side. Looking at going in hull. Any help would be appreciated.
Also have a Dominator for 6 years now and don't have a problem reading at speed.
I have a P66 which I moved inboard of the starboard engine and installed a 1kw TM260 where the P66 was. Both hooked up to a BSM-1 sounder connected to a Simrad NSS12.
You're welcome to have a look at the position of my setup. I'm on the south side of Brisbane at Burbank.
Don't know where you could put an in-hull transducer - maybe in through the round inspection plate in the transom well.

I fitted up twin Humminbird through hull trannies in my Markham Whaler 5.9..("yes it's a 59er").
When it was a 49er at speed soundings were far from good but then the boat sat deep and prop bubbles were bad.
Now with the through hulls set 250mm in from the transom and centre of the sponsons gives clear water even at WOT.
Not an easy job on a standard whaler with floor/foam/outer skin but it's doable.
I was able to fit mine up while the re-build was going on and servicing is via a spin out in the fish box floors.
Regards Steve.
