ID:	80237G Day all had a great day east of Moreton island with Ideas and Tangles. The plan, stay shallow and target cobia. After a 20 minute tussle Ideas gets it all together and we have a 22kg cobe in the kill bag, hi fives and yahoos complete we set up for another drift when i come up tight on a freight train, with 80 lb braid dissapearing off my catalina the calls made to chase this beast down, 40 mins on my body is starting to shut down ,back cramping ,arms two inches longer ,covered in sweat we see this fish the size of a vw. Sorry guys for getting carried away i was just reliving todays events. A GT is brought aboard (scales only went to 50kg) pics taken and fish released to fight another day. My first GT and one that is going to remembered for a while. An awesome day with awesome mates.
    Tightlines all Cheers MM

.....removed text..... Drinking and posting.... Bad combination.

Very impressive fish.... That would have been great even just to be in the boat as they were fought and landed.

I will have to start calling you the man from snowy river MM, because you are chasing horses not fish! Two absolute beasts there mate the Gt would have been a cracking work out. What did the damage mate?

That GT is a horse Perry, no wonder you were puffing and panting on the 2 way after landing it

If we were running the comp yesterday i dare say you and Ideas would have walked away with some prizes

    Re: A day to remember

He still had time to talk to us on the radio Tim, but with composure despite the huffing and puffing. When a bloke like you says he is stuffed after a long tussle with a freight train I was looking foreward to seeing the photos. Thanks Perry!

    Re: A day to remember

Well done Perry and Ideas both of your fish are crackers and will certainly take a while to top in the PB stakes. I cant wait to see the video when you put it together.
I just hope next weekend shapes up with some fantastic weather.
