top stuff mate, you'll be able to play with the height and get it perfect.....I was lucky and the extra 5 inches in the brackets proved perfect for me
let us know how it goes when you try it out

I have been playing around with the height of the outboard for some time now. Adjusting it up then leaving it until I run into bad weather (checking cavitation). I am about 7.5cm higher than the original outboard now. I have noticed no difference with the Jack Plate on. The cavitation plate can only just be seen at WOT so I think I still have plenty of room to go up more with out any problems. I have been cautious and not rushing as I don't want to run into bad weather and have an outboard with excessive cavitation. Most likely will play around with my prop to fine tune my WOT when I find the 'sweet spot' height wise.
