Willyweather - what BS is this?

Has anybody else seen this on Willyweather? Doesn't matter when you look, it's ALWAYS calm the day after tomorrow. Is this a ploy to get people back checking all the time?

BOM site. Don't bother with others... They all feed off BOM.

I've also used them a while, it's just lately they've started doing this. Even if all the others predict crappy weather (like this weekend) they still insist it'll be good the day after tomorrow. It's like they don't actually have the data for more than 2 days and just make up something for the rest.

    "They all feed off BOM."

Not quite. Most Aus based sites do, but ones like bouyweather have a different source or generate their own predictions

Every time i've used willy weather it has been waaaaaaay out, 100 percent of the time saying it's better conditions than it actually is. I don't use it anymore. Ben

Totally agree. Its rubbish, its always 'calm' and 'gentle' breezes...... yeah right!!

They have changed again now, they are actually predicting the whole week. Seems the same as what BOM is predicting.

seabreeze seems to have pretty good predictions, I agree they generally all feed from BOM but seabreeze does update more often and is fairly close, plus it has some wave rider bouy readings scattered around. I think BOM has more legal issues if their predictions are wrong as it an Aust gov site so they are have wider predictions to avoid getting dragged into court when some fool in a 3m tinny heads out wide and sinks.
As long as you not in the tropic's and believe their rain predictions.. that's always wrong.

    That's my 2c anyway.

I use both willy and seabreaze , willy will give you more info and a better layout for tides, moon , rainfall etc in one place but is always more "optimistic" for wind , seabreaze has been more accurate for wind forecasts
