Brett that's a likely excuse from a fisherman. Been down to the fish market again.
In not going fishing because my freezer is full. Why not call it what it is and your bitching out.
Eat fish for the next 9 days and you will have room.

Anthony must still be stuck out on the reef as I haven't got any photos. Not that I don't deserve them while I'm stuck at work.

Everyone pull up got a fighter here. Yea stuff that. Plus it's a team effort.
Or bring your tub a couple more gerry cans she'll be right. Plus I have some fancy electronics if we get into strife.
Dependant on what bar I have to cross will make all the difference on time leaving.
Kind offer there bud, but happy to take my rig to free up some room.... I have some "planning" to do to get away from work for the day but if the weathers looking good (And I mean it needs to be real good for me to go that far) then I'm a good chance for starting. I have Mapsource right here so if you want to PM your furtherest mark (Change it a bit if you like - I'm not into stealing marks but you can trust me with it) I'll do some distance measuring right now...

Like sands through the hourglass ..... you are finally going to get out there and have a go at this!

Well Lucee81, you're a braver man than some and quite probably crazier than most! I dip me lid to you. I just hope the donkey can swim.

So, are you continuing with the fashion trend? Gonna wear those snazzy white rimmed welding goggles if it's sunny? Or are they just for Barra Fishing?

See what you've started! Someone needs to do a responsible wearing of fashion course!

But, as is said, if you can't beat em join em...

In honour of your impending achievement - I've got a pair too, only gonna wear em when it gets real hot. Damn hot!

Good Luck from the Boat Hog!

Brother the white glasses go everywhere. Polarised and safety.
As long as its under a 2mt swell and under 10-15kn I'm going.

Starting to look like the weather knows about your Monday plans Lucas - purty average wind predicted now - hope it improves for you - I thought super calm for two weeks was a bit optimistic forecast.

But then again with those sunnies you should be alright

I have not mentioned weather for a reason. Apparently the gods do not care that I plan to brain a couple of ooglies.
To much has gone into this trip to pull out now. Anything under 15- 20kn and I'm going. The swell is right down so shouldn't be to bad. Still going to launch the boat and see what happens.
If not got some marks for outside the spb.

A mate of mine has a 5.1 quinny and offshore if we are in anything over 10 knots ie whitecaps his boat would go through at least 50% more fuel as it digs in and drags - just saying . . . .

Hope you get good weather all the same.

I got a plate bow rider and it travels pretty good. It's the swell that kills me not the whitecaps.

Some folks call it hard work and some call it meat gathering - either way it appeals to me and Lucas, I love your attitude -

Yes, it is hard work, but worth the effort spent,

it's only meat gathering when you are so lazy you use electrics.

I will still be winding long after the battery on the boat is dead.
Hopefully I can get some video footage of the great adventure. Hopefully the gods stop blowing a gale.
Keen as and a little crazy but Hans throlsop went to china In a 5.5mt and boony went to the lagoon in a 4.8mt cc. Bugman used to do it in a tinny. So it can and will be done. Maybe the first bowrider to the shelf. But don't be fooled it's not a ski boat and for those that have seen it will understand. It's actually very high sided and up front leaning over the bow you can't touch the water oh and it's also a dry boat.
