I believe his fuel flow meter spazed out on the way out so he played the mature adult card and turned around and stayed in close.
I'm sure he'll tell the story a bit better than that.

Lucee, you could always post up some pics of the skipper and deckies and call it "Ooglies of the not so deep"!

Houston, reset the countdown .... 4 weeks until next attempt.

    Ooglies 1 lucee 0.
Hit the water at 5:00am. Motor took a bit longer than usual to start. Righto let's go. Out of the manly bay marina hot the throttle no reading on the sounder. Mofo.
Boat on trailer move transducer start again. Now we have a depth reading but at speed the hds looks like I'm playing Alex the kid it's that pixilated.
Oh well it looks good when going slow hit the spb for a flat bar but the fuel flow meter is reading I've used 55lts. Wtf. Keep going anyway until it gets into the negatives make the all to turn around we were in the 200+mt but we were mature get to the bar and fuel flow meter is well into negatives Spode we better fill up before crossing bar. Fuel tank takes 30lts. Now I'm emotional as its a 86lt tank and I've used 30lt to get from manly to the bar to about 10-15kms out. Righto let's not waste the day and go brain a snap or 2. Head up the outside of moreten a few drifts no fish lets hit mud. Through the bar into mud and the motor starts choking for fuel again. Hmm. Let's not fill it and see how far we can get. All the way to mud as long as when it choked up I took the throttle off and went again. Me thinks new fuel tank problem
Made it home with 50lts in the tank and over 40lts in the gerry cans had I been risky I would have made it but blind on fuel. I went out with 85lts in the tank and 90 in gerry cans so when we ran out we had to turn around.
I will be taking boat back to fuel tank builder and situating the tank fair up his ass.
Was a very unhappy camper yesterday. And to top it off I got heat strike for the first time. And it sucks.
Didn't not get seasick. Ear plug and bandaid over the belly button not sure which worked but it worked.

Bandaid over belly button?? How is that supposed to work - something about denying being born from womb or what?

Well at least you did not explode before getting there as some others have done.

So the guy who made the tanks has a donkey in a boat too! You really should go the guy rather than his ass about the tank - it's not the donkeys fault.

At this rate I will get out before you guys and I don't even have a boat

Good to hear the yougun had a great birthday
    Cheers

I thought you got your boat fixed. Is it still having dramas??
The shelf isn't really that far, couple of hours drive.
I thought I was being a dumb prick heading out in a tinny but apparently not.
