My mate just got off a trawler and fished for a few days, caught a heap of barra. He said there been braining em up there, even in the creek just out from the pub. There are crocs up there bigger then the boat your planning on fishing in, just a heads up not trying to scare you.
Live bait odes lots of livies. Head out to the sandbar or up river. Either way send some livies out. Other alternative if you've got a sounder is trolling. But best bet overall is take your castnet, nab some mullet and float them out.
