Thread: Changes in Squidgies

    Changes in Squidgies

I have noticed of late a lot of the original colours and sizes of Squidgies are no longer hitting the shelves, hopefully a temporary thing.
But today I opened a new packet of 100mm Wrigglers in Wasabi colour to find there was none of the usual garlic scent or salt crystals like normal, same with a new packet of 100mm bloodworm wrigglers.
Does anyone know for sure this is a new trend or if it is a glitch in the manufacturing/packaging process??

I think the garlic and salt combo was a winner and should be kept as part of the lineup.

The X-factor scent is good and it is the option if you want more than the normal squidgies, that's fine and give an option to everyone that uses plastics.
    Jack.

Yes we have noticed the same thing about a month and a half ago, searched the local shops for any Red Rum 100mm Wrigglers (our favorites) but only found 4 packets across 6 shops. These have not been restocked in the subsequent 6 weeks in the shps we can get to easily.

None of the shops acknowledged that anything was going a couple of then just stated that Shimano are terrible at delivering what they order. I am not convinced, I think there is a change going on ...

    Re: Changes in Squidgies

I like the 100mm Squidgy Wrigglers with my favourite colour being Bloodworm followed by Wasabi and Lava and find that Big W usually carry the Bloodworm in the normal (not Squidgy Pro) variety.

The Red Rum I find work well in really dirty water and I landed a 61cm Flathead a few weeks ago using this colour. The Red Rum is getting harder to find and I always grab a couple of packets when I happen to find them on the shelves at tackle shops.

I find that the S Factor provides the advantage of a second bite and Flathead who miss on the first strike tend to come back once they have a taste.

Was at BCF this afternoon and notice that they seem to have compressed their squidgies into less space now...looks like there is a reduction in the non-pro range that they are currently carrying

    Re: Changes in Squidgies

BCF seem to be stocking more of the Z Man soft plastics these days. Its probably a matter of which products provide the best return.

Anaconda are only stocking the Squidgy Pro range and its getting harder to find the old style Squidgies in popular types/colours.

I'm thinking of trying Tackleworld next week but they always seem to be the dearest although the range is usually pretty good.

    Hi everyone,

I'm more of a bait fisher but I am having a go on the SP. I just finished reading the thread and thought I might add something to this. I was at Big w and I picked up 4 packets of the squidgies for 51c in the fish hot tail, 60mm killer tomato. That was about a month and a half ago.
Good things come to those who bait

People only buy squidgies to get the sfactor to rub on zmans
