Thread: Fuel and battery

    Fuel and battery

Hi all, I noticed I have a fuel flow sensor mounted in the same compartment as a battery. I don't really like the idea of these 2 being together. Is it safe to leave it where it is or should I mount the sensor somewhere else???

    Cheers

    Re: Fuel and battery

Both are possible sources of extreme fire IF anything goes wrong, unlikely if both are maintained correctly. From one aspect, I would rather have one possible explosive area than two, downside is if one goes up the second could follow. Maintained correctly you should not have a drama.

Well if you think about it you have the 3 sides of a fire triangle ,fuel ,ignition or spark, and air all in one spot, if you take one of them away then you wont have a problem, its only common sence not to have the problem there to happen.

HaHaHa, I posted in the wrong thread.

    What was the question?
That's right, I'm not even a fan of battery boxes in general.
I like to let the hydrogen gas get away & also watch the mushrooms grow in the terminals.
