    Red fish off Mackay

Finally managed to get the boat out the other night for a fish after a 3month wait due to bad weather and work.
Headed out about 9.00pm and went to the shipping channel and started fishing. Missed the tide change but the fish where still biting. Fished until sun up and by then we were out of bait and the esky was full. Headed home about 6.30am in awesome conditions, been a while since I have seen weather this good.
Total count was 10 nannygai and 3 reds. Best fish was a red 9.5kg.
Lost more fish then we caught, getting bricked by many a large fish.

There is a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot

I wonder how much deeper the ocean would be without sponges

Up here we Use Hussar as baits for real RED FISHS (SHSIIFDER)

My neighbour got back today from an overnighter on the shoals on the way to Parker and got a good bag of Pinkies and lipper. Noahs everywhere though. My brother is heading out tonight so will see what comes of it.
