Re: Most of a Tangalooma Tuna

Well done mate will be keeping a bit more of a lookout when I am over there witht he family next time we go and stay over there every year in the villa's the missus wants to stay in the deep blue apartments this year. Aside form the huge tiger sharks what are the apartments like. I have been swimming over there on dusk quite a few time's I even remember at the Tangalooma M&G i was in water up to my chest giving my daughter a hand up into the boat and it was pitch black. Wow I will have that in the back of my mind for next time and yes I will not be showing this to the missus either. Thanks for the report mate.

Has anyone seen one of these Noah's in the anchorage at Horseshoe bay?

I have seen dolphins there.... And lots of jumping baitfish.

And lots of swimming adults and kids... Including me. Hang on... Maybe I shouldn't ask because it might scare me off and stop the kids fun.

Sorry if that's too far off topic.

I thank you Bugman for an excellent post and congratulate you on your bravery getting into the water so soon after Noah made an appearance.

Walrus - surely not with all those gin palace occupants tossing recently sucked chicken bones and half eaten undercooked hamburgers over the sides...it amazes me especially when the kids then go over the side into the 'burley trail' and this is usually 50m plus out from the beach in deeper and less clear water. Cheers

I had that happen with a large cobia a few years back at tanga. I'm surprised you were able to get a live bait past the cormorants or their silly rangers who try and tell you not to use any hooks over 4/0 on the jetty :p. Nice fish mate.

Classic mate. Epic fish off the jetty, at least you got most of the fillet back. I can't wait to tell my mate who did a couple of night dives at the wrecks recently.

If you need live bait there try jigging a small soft plastic under the jetty, I always pull in and grab 1/2 a doz yellowtail pike before chasing cobs and kingys on the ledge.
