Mud Island Trip Report 15 /4

The lad and myself ventured out to Mud Island to try our luck with some SP,s. Left Comsile 6 ish. Bit a of a good view back towards the Port on the way. Started around Southern end( 25feet depth) first cast - it goes off and a a late 40 ish snap hits the deck. Manns Z SP. Released few undersize squire, flatties . Drifting in about 15 feet of water and Bryce's lets us know his on- and it looks OK- several minutes later we netted another late 40 ish snapper. Bryce very happy best to date- picked up on the drop using a Slam SP/12 lb braid. First legal fish on his new diawa outfit. High fives and big smiles all around .We moseied around up to the northern end, stopping here and there mainly for some undersize fish and dropped a few flathead. Back home around lunch time- top day.

Fresh battered/crumbed snapper for dinner and pan fried sole- chips and salad- very nice.

Well done mate good size snap there great to have crumbed or battered go down nice with a XXXX looked to be a nice day on the water.
