Thread: Looking for a particular rod.

  1. #1

    Looking for a particular rod.

I'm looking for a Shimano Tescata TSS 70M rod and have tried my local stores and few others around the area with no luck . I have been searching the web also without luck.
Can anyone suggest a store in Aust, that they think might be worth contacting.

My son bought a Tescata (not sure which model) as his bay tuna rod.

Purchased from Tackle Warehouse Coorparoo about six months ago...

Or try this link, some Tescata rods but not the 70M:

    Replace #s with m o t a c k l e without the spaces!

Looks like I have found one in the states but the freight may make it not worth it. Just waiting on an answer.

I've never used them, but there are plenty of companies that will receive your US mail and forward on to AUS. Quick google found this one,

any reason why it has to be this particular rod? You may be able to pick up a better rod for the same dough somewhere else.

    Cheers

The Terez rods use the same TC4 blank as the Tescata, maybe one of the lighter rods is close to what you are after. That is if you can live with the white colour.

Update, I don’t give up easily but I came to the conclusion fairly early that I was not going to get one of these rods locally

So after searching the web I found a couple in the US but the store would not deliver to Aust . I listed the help of a shipping agent who purchased two rods for me and I can expect delivery within a couple of weeks .
I got two rods because the delivery charge was the same for one . So fingers crossed they will turn up not broken............

    OK, I concede defeat.

Just been contacted by the shipping agent. The US store that said they had these rods actually "don't have any at all" so my order has been cancelled and I’m back to square one, bugger bugger bugger.

What was the medium Tescata rated? Mo's has the light version 12-30lb and 80-150gram.

TSS 70M, there are still a few of the L and XL around.

Mate Thats a shame about the rods in the USA maybe the terez rods are the way to go being the same blank you would think the action should be the same but the white colour mate dont know about that but on the bright side you can watch me pulling up those nice snaps with mine next weekend at the M&G & if you play your cards right I might let you have aplay
